/log and /cache not writable

koseven

#1

I have installed kohana on a vm and I have made sure cache and logs are writable by the web server :

sudo chmod -R a+rwx application/cache
sudo chmod -R a+rwx application/logs

However, in the kohana test I get application/cache directory not writable and application/log not writable.

Any chance someone knowns what’s going on here.
Let me know if more information is needed to diagnose this.

Dear toto-foo,
Please provide some (or all) of the following informations:
Which version of koseven are you using?
Are you using symlinks?
Under what user runs your webserver?
please send the output of ls -la in your koseven/application folder.

#3

I have downloaded the latest stable release of ko7 from the official website.
I have not configured any symlinks, so guess not.
My webserver process runs under apache.
here is ls -al for the two directories:
drwxrwxrwx. 2 root devel 24 Feb 27 12:27 cache
drwxrwxrwx. 2 root devel 24 Feb 27 12:27 logs

Ok I figured what was wrong. I had to disable selinux and everything worked fine. I appreciate your help and the fast replies. Thank you.
